Amine Essahel (also known as Aldo) is a Moroccan filmmaker based in Washington DC, A graduate of the Ouarzazate Cinema Institute—situated in the heart of Morocco’s thriving film industry and a renowned hub for major Hollywood productions—Amine has honed his craft through extensive on-set experience.

Beginning his career in the Grip & Electric (G&E) department, Amine gained hands-on expertise working on high-profile productions, including Showtime’s acclaimed Homeland series. His portfolio also features contributions to a variety of projects, such as short films, commercials for global brands like Škoda, Adidas, Lauren Perez’ Anabule, and a documentary for AlJazeera.

In addition to his work in film, Amine has established himself as a skilled camera operator and AV tech, for corporate and political events. His experience includes covering events for prominent figures such as U.S. Democratic leaders, Kamala Harris, and Joe Biden, as well as engagements with ambassadors from Ivory Coast and Uganda, and Saudi Arabia’s Saudi Export Development Authority.
